Mr Vinod Sharma
MBBS, MS, DipNB, FRCS, FRCOphth

I am a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon working at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. In my practice I see and treat both adults and children with eye diseases. I have a special interest in strabismus (squint/misalignment of eyes) and Paediatric Ophthalmology.

My Work

The Manchester Royal Eye Hospital is one of the largest Eye Hospitals in Europe offering world class, state of the art facilities and equipment for diagnosis and treatment of eye disorders. It also has the support of leading Genetic and Paediatric departments in the form of St Mary's and Royal Manchester Children's Hospital which are next door!

In my NHS practice I deliver secondary and tertiary level care for children with all sorts of eye problems and also conduct adult cataract surgery lists. I have a limited private practice for patients who are not eligible for NHS care or those who want to avail options outside the national service. I consult at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital Private Patient Centre ensuring all my private patients can benefit from the unparalleled facilities and equipment offered by the Royal Eye Hospital as opposed to the other private setups.

On this website you will find useful links to information on common childhood eye conditions which I will be constantly updating. Please do leave feedback on your experience and for any information you think should be added to benefit other patients.
